So so good! Great food at great prices

Nice people and friendly atmosphere. Food was way, way, way too sweet and greasy for me. I know that cakes and pies are meant to be sweet, but the things here were just way over the top.The flavor was lost on the overwhelming use of sugar. Chocolate pie should taste of chocolate and sweet should be a component of the over all desert. Not in this case. I could see the color of Chocolate, but it tasted purely of sugar. If I were blindfolded I would never have known it was chocolate pie.. I would have just said it was sugar and sweet. Nice crust, but never would have said it was chocolate.. Box for the donuts was nothing but grease dripping out of the bottom by the time I got home. Again wonderful people and a clean and inviting atmosphere, just too sweet and greasy for me.

Love this place. The sandwiches are amazing I love the chicken salad one personally and the chicken soup is the best. Anyone in the south boston area really should give this place a chance.

They have great sandwiches and baked goods. The people are friendly service is fast.

The food is always good and very good quality. I live the sandwiches and especially the pecan pie! The peanut butter brownie today was too hard though. The service is always good and they are all very polite and efficient. Great place to go and I've never been disappointed.

I will say, I could write a book on how amazing this place is, honestly. It is a Christian based bake shop where I 100% believe that God handcrafted every food & drink item in there. I never thought that I would ever love a sandwich place more than subway, but this place does it all for me. It was literally the only think I wanted to eat when I was pregnant with my first child. Just an absolutely amazing place. They also sell paintings & art & books to go along with your treats.

Staff are always friendly and eager to serve you. Food is always good. New location in Hupps Mill Shopping Center is really nice.

EXCELLENT!!! Great donuts! Delicious pies! And love the chicken noodle soup and sandwiches! Great prices. I just wish they had another store closer to me and later hours. It's a fantastic little gem! I highly recommend visiting this bakery at least once, but be sure to get there early. They get busy at lunchtime and you might miss something you want if it sells out.

Everything is amazing. I tried the chicken salad today and fell in love. The best I've ever had. If you're ever in South Boston stop in and grab a donut or brownie or both to go with one of their awesome sandwiches made with their homemade bread.

Bake shop in a shopping center directly across from Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital. They have a wide array of fresh banged donuts, muffins, cookies and more. They have a "monster cookie", which is a combo of chocolate chip, oatmeal, m&ms and peanut butter. You can also get sandwiches there. The baked goods are fantastic and are held in high regard in the area. The only knock for me was the less than enthusiastic treatment from the young gentleman at the front counter. I have nothing but good things to say about the food.

I had been dying to try this place out for a few years now. I live in south hill ,va so i am about an hour away . I haven't been able to catch it open until yesterday . I love that they carry local stuff and they make fresh items each day .

Awesome food. Depends on who is at the cash register. They make it clear all they want is your money. Customer service skills, are a miss..most of the workers are often young awkward and lack social skills. If it weren't for their awesome chicken salad and coconut pie, I would ditch up.

I'm from the north and this is very similar to the Mennonite owned shops from back home. Great sandwiches, great desserts / donuts, super friendly people, and a great value. And the pantry items they sell are also similar to the things I get back North. Would recommend to anyone!

I agree with a former reviewer. I love all the food there and you cannot go wrong with any food choice. I have been a patron there since it was just a small shop, and have seen it grown over the years. My only concern is the service appears to have gone down. The young gentleman at the counter is less than enthusiastic about service and seems to distract the young ladies that work there. I actually loved the former quite, quaint atmosphere of this shop and appreciated the former level of service. Nevertheless I will continue to eat and shop here.

Their ok all their potato chips have lard in them that needs to be changed. All their donuts are to surgery some should be plain, they should think more healthy.

Fresh and clean ! My top two things when I visit a new place for food. Somewhat friendly staff but the buns and muffins were excellent.

This place is awesome! Family owned and operated. Good food and fast service! Come see for yourself. FYI, they recently moved a few doors down in the same shopping center (acroe road from the hospital).

Windmill made the most delicious birthday cakes for my sister...it was a lemon sheet cake with cream cheese frosting. Like everything else they sell, it was amazing! Why bake another birthday cake ever again...just order one from them!

Their soup, sandwiches, pies, cookies and donuts are delicious. There have only been a few items that we have tried that we were not crazy about. It's worth the trip for us.

Delicious "Homemade" quality and flavors.I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on a white bun. So wonderful I wished I had bought 2! Pies so tasty, best I've tasted in a long time 😁. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Busy Amish Deli with generous servings. Could have a better bread choice then white bun or grocery store whole wheat. Long lines at lunch time not enough counter help. Chicken salad was tasty.

Home made breads, great meats, cheeses and most of all the home made pies and desserts. This place can’t be beat! Tons of parking, easy quick stop for lunch.

Best place to get consistently amazing food. Sometimes you have to recheck your sandwiches but rarely is it wrong but that is human error and high customer volume. Doughnuts, chicken noodle soup, chicken salad, chocolate pie...well the list goes on, everything is so wonderful!

It's a really neat place. Friendly service. Solid (quality) sandwiches.Also, they sell Joe Tea, which I'd never had before. But the Peach Tea was amazing! I think I can honestly say that was the best tea I've ever had.
